Green Power Nueva Ecija Philippines Inc. (GPNEPI):
Green Gower Nueva Ecija Philippines Inc., is a Philippine Company develop two 17.5 Megawatt ("MW") BIOMASS grid connected, decentralized, renewable energy power plants in San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija on the Island of Luzon in the Philippines. The power plants use sustainable biomass resources such as agricultural crop and food processing wastes and does not use biomass that competes with the human food chain. GPNEPI is strategically positioned to efficiently construct and operate biomass fuelled renewable energy power plants that embrace the global paradigm shift towards the development and use of clean, cost effective, renewable energy in the form of electricity: Clean energy generation that delivers extraordinary Socio-economic development, helps to mitigate climate change and avert the looming energy crisis that faces the Philippines today.
Green Power Nueva Ecija Philippine Inc., has engaged with Poyry Energy Inc. part of Poyry PLC the fourth largest engineering company in the world to deliver Engineering Procurement and Construction ("EPC") services that guarantees the performance and timely delivery of the biomass power plants. Key technology is provided by the Dragon Power Group's DP CleanTech and operations are supported by Dragon Power's National BioEnergy. National BioEnergy ("NBE") currently owns and operates 25 biomass power plants in China that deliver 500 MWe of electricity. NBE are concurrently building an additional biomass power plants that will deliver an aggregate 1,000 MWe of biomass power by 2011 and 3,000 MW by 2015 supported by a $USD 4.1 billion credit line from the China Construction Bank.
Green Gower Nueva Ecija Philippines Inc., is a subsidiary of Global Green Power PLC Corporation ("GGPC") a philippines registered company has targeted the Philippines for the construction and operation of biomass power plant projects of between 17.5 to 35 megawatts of electricity (MWe). The Philippines has one of the highest electricity prices within South East Asia. The opening up of the Philippines electricity market via the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (“WESM”) called “Open Access”, the recent promulgation of the Renewable Energy Act and the abundance of readily available biomass as a fuel source makes the Philippines one of the most attractive markets for renewable biomass power generation, globally.
Global Green power PLC Corporation is invested by United Kingdom based Global Green Power PLC ("GGP"), a Public limited company dedicated to developing Renewable Energy that delivers socio-economic development to the communities and countries GGP operates in. GGPC Biomass Power Plants are Renewable Energy (“RE”) Infrastructure that deliver extraordinary benefits to our host communities, local and national government as well as the environment.
Wherever Global Green Power PLC Corporation builds a biomass power plant, the money previously extracted from the community to purchase foreign fossil fuels such as oil and coal to provide power are instead injected back into the local community. This is achieved through GGPC's purchase of biomass agricultural wastes to use as an alternative fuel source that displaces conventional fossil fuel power generation. These farming wastes are generally burnt or left to rot in the fields. The sustainable purchase of agricultural waste is environmentally friendly and provides a significant additional income to the local farming and host community whilst mitigating climate change.
THE BOTTOM LINE:
Global Green Power PLC Corporation = Renewable Energy + Stable Power Supply + Socio-Economic Development + Energy Security + Sound Stewardship of the Environment.
Each GGPC 35 MW Biomass Power Plant:
- Delivers Renewable Energy at prices competitive to Fossil Fuel energy.
- Delivers Stable, Decentralized, Renewable Energy Base-load Power that stabilizes our host power distribution grid and fosters economic development.
- Delivers an estimated 3,400 direct and indirect jobs for every 17.5 Megawatt Biomass Power Plant.
- Delivers Energy Security to the Philippines through the utilization of local, indigenous, renewable fuel resources displacing and estimated $USD 2.9 Billion of imported diesel fuel over a 25-year period.*
- Delivers Foreign Exchange Savings to the Philippines through obviating the necessity to purchase foreign fossil fuels.
- Delivers an estimated Php 830 Million ($USD 18 Million) in the first year of operation and Php 35 Billion ($USD 800 Million) over 25-years per 35 MW plant to the local farming and host community through Global Green Power purchase of local fuels and associated ancillary services such as transport and operations.
- Delivers Climate Change Mitigation through Global Green Power use of crop residues such as rice straw, cane tops and other agricultural waste residues that are currently left in the field to rot causing Methane or burnt in the field causing Carbon Dioxide: Both Green House Gasses (“GHG”) that significantly contribute towards Climate Change.
- Delivers Agricultural Development working with the National Government and local community to develop, grow and harvest biomass local fuel crops on marginal lands that are currently unproductive. These crops help to Mitigate Climate Change.
- Delivers Social Integration & Development through the provision of jobs, economic opportunity and socio-economic development.
